Your day at NTT DATA

As a Cloud Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will be a key player in designing and occasionally implementing cloud‑based solutions that align with our clients’ business and technical requirements. You’ll partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions. You’ll be seen as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring that our solutions meet clients’ objectives and support their growth. On a day‑to‑day basis you will design and architect cloud‑based systems that guarantee high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability. From working with sales teams to providing pre‑sales technical support you’ll ensure seamless integration of cloud environments with on‑premises solutions. Your input will drive the optimization and security of our cloud infrastructure, crafting migration strategies and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration and Governance

Collaboration is key to your role. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams, including developers, operations, and project managers, to align technical solutions with business goals. You will take charge of developing and maintaining our cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your role will also involve handling client proof‑of‑concept (POC) initiatives, guiding these projects from conception to delivery with the necessary resources. You will be the go‑to expert on cloud technologies and architectures, from assessing existing systems to defining and enforcing security best practices. You will support sales teams by offering insights during scope of work determinations, product pricing, and RFP/RFI responses. Additionally, you will prepare technical design documents and support project implementations to ensure a smooth transition to the delivery team.

Qualifications

A comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, containers, and hybrid cloud deployments.

Proficiency with cloud infrastructure technologies such as virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and load balancing.

In‑depth knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI‑DSS.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

Extensive experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures for complex systems and applications.

Strong client engagement skills and technical consulting aptitude.

A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
