The Security / Julia Programming Developer will support a strategic security initiative to assess, secure, and standardize software development environments across a complex, semi-autonomous technology landscape involving multiple programming languages and external providers.

The role will conduct a comprehensive security evaluation of existing development environments and contribute to the design and implementation of a hardened, secure development ecosystem to enable the adoption of the Julia programming language across Windows and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive security assessments of existing development environments. Identify risks related to tooling fragmentation, dependency gaps, and shadow IT practices. Provide remediation recommendations and hardening standards. Support the definition of a secure, standardized development environment model. Design and implement secure Julia development environments on: Windows desktops Linux environments (where applicable) Harden OS configurations and runtime settings for secure Julia execution. Define secure configuration baselines for developer workstations and build environments. Implement secure dependency management using Julia’s package ecosystem. Establish artifact governance and repository controls. Define trusted package sources and integrity validation mechanisms. Implement version control and reproducibility standards.
