Oracle Finance Functional Consultant (Bangkok based)

Note: This is an onsite position in Bangkok, Thailand and will mean relocation if not already living there. We do not permit remote working from other countries.

This is a permanent position for a prestigeous client

Salary: Circa: $4000-4500 USD equivalent per month

We are seeking an experienced Finance Systems professional to take ownership of enterprise finance applications, with a strong focus on Oracle-based ERP environments. This role combines functional expertise, systems configuration, compliance oversight, and cross-functional coordination to ensure finance technology supports business growth while maintaining strong governance standards. With several years of hands-on experience in finance systems delivery, you will help shape, enhance, and safeguard financial processes within a complex and fast-moving organization. You will also act as the designated owner for packaged finance applications, ensuring they operate effectively within internal control and regulatory frameworks. This position requires someone who is proactive, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and confident engaging senior stakeholders. You should be capable of independently leading initiatives, influencing outcomes, and driving measurable improvements across finance technology landscapes.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Advisor – Finance & Controls Partner with Finance, IT, Risk, Product, and Audit teams to provide subject matter expertise on financial systems and governance. Ensure technology solutions align with operational needs while meeting requirements related to segregation of duties, access governance, and internal controls. ERP Solutions Specialist Configure and deploy Oracle finance modules, ensuring proper alignment with accounting processes and regulatory standards. Maintain strong governance over user roles, permissions, and system security while supporting integrations across the broader ERP ecosystem.

Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5+ years of experience working with enterprise finance systems, particularly within ERP-driven environments in technology, digital, or e-commerce organizations. Strong hands-on experience configuring Oracle Fusion Financials modules. Demonstrated expertise in access governance, segregation of duties design, and regulatory compliance within ERP systems. Proven track record managing cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business teams. Solid understanding of financial controls and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX). Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline. Professional accounting certification is advantageous. Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with the ability to adapt to new priorities and system enhancements. Vendor coordination experience, including oversight of third-party deliverables and compliance alignment. Strong project delivery skills with the ability to lead initiatives spanning Product, Technology, and Finance teams. Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement practical system solutions. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in system configuration and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong planning and organizational capabilities. Results-driven with strong ownership and accountability for system performance and compliance outcomes. Experience with Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), including report analysis, template design, data model development, and ongoing report maintenance. Advanced SQL capability, including writing and optimizing queries for reporting, reconciliation, and data integration. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to multiple finance domains such as Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Finance Operations. Familiarity with delivery frameworks such as Agile or structured SDLC approaches. Broader experience across additional Oracle Fusion ERP modules. Experience with data analytics tools or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms. Exposure to additional financial systems beyond Oracle ERP environments.
