Lead Engineer - Fibre Cable Landing Station

Senior / Lead Engineer - Cable Landing Station Location: Jakarta 6 Month Contract to Start Salary: $7,500 USD per month.

This is a senior level engineering role and will be working in a cable landing station in Jakarta.

Starting initially on a contract basis, you'll provide senior technical leadership across network and fibre infrastructure, equipment installations, and critical support systems, including cooling and environmental controls.

This is for network, fibre and the associated critical infrastructure.

The lead engineer, as subject matter expert, will own aspects of fibre maintenance, upgrades and operational performance - making sure the network (Transmission / fibre / server racks) is operating with maximum efficiency and optimal availability.

Key background for the role is the all round leadership backed up with senior level telecoms engineering technical knowledge.

This needs to be from mission critical live environments, so data centres, cable landing stations, submarine cable or main exchanges / headends.

Telecoms knowledge is key but you'll also need to understand the cooling systems and environmental controls needed to work in a 24/7 critical infrastructure setting.

It's a mixed vendor environment - Nokia, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena etc.

You'll need good communication skills in both English and also Bahasa Indonesia

Contract role to start but a strong chance to extend the contract or go permanent.
