Tobacco Flavorist Senior Manager

Role Overview:

Lead the development and optimization of tobacco flavors, creating and modifying formulations while conducting intensive daily sensory evaluations to ensure product quality and consistency - requiring strong expertise in tobacco leaf and flavor creation (kretek knowledge preferred).

Responsibilities

Create and modify tobacco flavor formulations to drive product innovation and quality consistency.

Conduct intensive sensory evaluations and manage accurate documentation of lab tests, ingredients, and results.

Ensure proper database management for formulations, materials, and testing records.

Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) to support commercialization, costing, and go-to-market initiatives.

Develop commercial proposals and provide technical support for regional and global projects.

Drive best practices in flavor development and ensure adherence to lab standards and protocols.

Support product pricing strategies and resolve formulation-related technical issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Diploma degree in any science discipline, food engineering, food science, chemistry, or biology.

Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience as a hands‑on Flavourist in the tobacco industry with 4 years experience as manager.

Highly responsible and reliable with exceptional attention to details.

Experience in working within tight deadlines independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Able to maintain confidentiality for all work‑related matters.

Creativity and scientific proficiency with a sensitive and distinctive palette.
