Role Overview
The Training Leader / Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving training and development programs to enhance employee capability, performance, and readiness across the organization. This role ensures that learning initiatives are aligned with business goals, operational needs, and company values, while building a strong learning culture and supporting leadership and talent growth.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Learning Leadership
Develop and execute a company-wide training and learning strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
Translate organizational needs into structured learning frameworks for HQ and store operations
Act as a subject-matter leader for learning, capability development, and training best practices
Training Program Design & Delivery
Design, implement, and manage training programs (soft skill & technical skill)
Ensure training content is practical, engaging, and applicable to daily work
Facilitate or oversee training sessions, workshops, and learning activities (online & offline)
Leadership & Capability Development
Develop leadership and supervisory training programs for Store Managers, Area Managers, and emerging leaders
Support career development, readiness, and succession through targeted learning initiatives
Coach leaders and managers to strengthen people management and performance capability
Learning Effectiveness & Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance indicators
Continuously improve training programs based on data, feedback, and business outcomes
Track training participation, completion, and impact on performance
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with People/HR, Operations, and Business Leaders to identify training needs and priorities
Work closely with Area Managers and Store Leaders to ensure training consistency and adoption in stores
Align training initiatives with company culture, values, and customer experience standards
Training Operations & Documentation
Manage training calendars, materials, learning tools, and documentation
Maintain training records, modules, SOPs, and learning pathways
Support scalability of training processes as the company grows
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related field
5–8+ years of experience in Training, Learning & Development, or Capability Development roles
Experience in retail, service, or fast-growing organizations is a strong advantage
Proven experience in designing and delivering structured training programs
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and facilitation techniques
Excellent communication and presentation skills. English proficiency is a plus
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and frontline operations
