Legal Manager

About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to join our team at PT Adijaya Karya Makmur. As the Legal Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic, high-quality, and timely legal services to support the overall business objectives of our company, which operates in the Mining industry.

Based in our office in South Jakarta, this full-time position will involve a range of responsibilities to ensure PT Adijaya Karya Makmur remains compliant with relevant laws and regulations, while also supporting the company's commercial and strategic initiatives.

What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive legal advice and support on a variety of corporate and commercial matters.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, contracts, and legal instruments.

Ensuring the company operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies.

Identifying and mitigating legal risks to protect the company's interests.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Mentoring and guiding more junior legal professionals within the team.

Continuously staying up-to-date with changes in the legal landscape and industry regulations.

What we're looking for

8+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained within a large law firm or the in-house legal team of a sizeable organization.

Having 3-5 years experience as Legal Manager with the same industry (mining/energy).

Substantial experience across a wide range of commercial legal practice areas, including contract law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercially-focused legal advice to both operational staff and senior stakeholders.

Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape within the Corporate & Commercial Law industry.

Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest legal developments and industry trends.
