Senior Solution Architect (Data Spaces) Remote | Freelance Contract | 12 Months + Extension Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)

We are seeking a

Senior Solution Architect

to support a high-profile, multi-contractor programme within the

Simpl Programme QA / Programme Support Office , contributing to

Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)

activities.

Key Responsibilities Audit functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs) for clarity, completeness, and testability Validate architecture designs (components, APIs, data flows, deployment models, security architecture) Review and challenge Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and technical trade-offs Ensure full traceability from requirements through implementation Validate Security-by-Design principles (IAM, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, least privilege) Perform basic threat modelling and risk assessments Ensure governance, compliance, and structured quality validation Validate Kubernetes-based deployments (services, ingress, network policies, secrets) Review CI/CD and DevSecOps practices Assess cloud and hybrid deployment architectures Responsibilities: IDSA-RAM and Gaia-X principles Data connectors (e.g., Eclipse Data Connector – EDC or similar) Federated governance models Data catalogues and cross-domain interoperability Multi-organisation integration environments
