Sanitarians investigate health and safety in business environments, work to enforce safety and health regulations, and identify risk factors.
Observe the behavior of employees at the facility to ensure they are working to prevent the spread of disease.
Educate the public and individuals about methods to reduce contamination.
Develop protocols to maintain public and industrial hygiene standards.
Enforcing existing health regulations in community practice.
Monitor waste disposal and handling in environments such as hospitals, businesses and the public sector.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree from Environmental Health, Public Health, Biology, or any related major
Preferably have 5 years of experience in various fields of environmental health, hygiene or industrial safety
In-depth understanding of sanitation practices, infection control, and health and safety regulations.
Familiarity with healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) for reporting and documentation.
Ability to adapt to changing regulations and handle unexpected sanitation challenges.
