We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist with a strong background in nickel mining recruitment to support our growing manpower needs at mining sites. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and efficient recruitment of qualified candidates who meet the operational and cultural standards of our company. Experience in the nickel mining sector is a must.
This position will require frequent mobility to mining sites to oversee recruitment processes and ensure alignment with the operational needs on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including planning, sourcing, selection, and onboarding for various roles across nickel mining sites.
Collaborate with site management and HR teams to understand manpower requirements and ensure candidates meet both technical competencies and company culture.
Proactively source candidates through multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, job portals, internal databases, and industry networks, particularly within the nickel mining sector.
Conduct comprehensive selection processes, including resume screening, interviews, technical assessments, and cultural fit evaluation using BEI and CBI methods.
Administer and interpret psychometric tests (e.g., personality and cognitive ability tests) to ensure alignment with role requirements and organizational culture.
Assess technical competencies through case studies, situational judgment tests, and industry‑specific evaluations.
Ensure recruitment targets are met within agreed timelines while maintaining candidate quality standards.
Build and maintain a strong talent pool to support immediate and long‑term recruitment needs.
Generate regular recruitment reports covering time‑to‑fill, candidate quality, and recruitment efficiency metrics.
Support mass recruitment initiatives for new mining projects or operational expansions.
Conduct frequent site visits to ensure recruitment activities align with operational needs on‑site.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Recruitment Specialist or Talent Acquisition professional, preferably within the nickel mining industry.
Proven experience in nickel mining recruitment, including site‑based roles, rotational systems, and technical workforce requirements.
Experience in administering psychometric assessments such as personality and cognitive ability tests.
Strong expertise in Behavioral Event Interviewing (BEI) and Competency‑Based Interviews (CBI).
Experience conducting technical assessments, case studies, and situational judgment tests relevant to mining roles.
Strong sourcing capabilities with demonstrated success in hiring within the nickel mining sector.
In‑depth understanding of mining operations, workforce planning, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, JobStreet, and Etc.
Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel frequently to mining sites as required.
