Corporate Litigation Assistant Manager
Are you a sharp, tenacious, and experienced legal professional with a passion for dispute resolution? Sahid Group is seeking a Corporate Litigation Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Group Office in Jakarta.
This is a critical role responsible for managing and safeguarding the company's legal interests by handling a wide array of disputes and litigation matters. You will be at the forefront of protecting our assets and reputation, with a strong focus on cases related to our extensive property and hospitality portfolio. We are looking for a seasoned litigator with a proven track record and in-depth experience in the property business sector.
What You'll Be Doing
Litigation & Dispute Resolution Management:
Manage the entire lifecycle of civil, criminal, and administrative litigation cases, from initial analysis and legal strategy formulation to final resolution in court or through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
Legal Representation & Counsel Management:
Represent the company in legal proceedings or effectively manage and collaborate with external legal counsel/law firms to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Drafting & Reviewing Legal Documents:
Prepare, draft, and review a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to statements of claim, defenses, rejoinders, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
Legal Research & Advisory:
Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic legal opinions and risk assessments to management on potential disputes and ongoing cases, particularly concerning land law, construction, and property-related conflicts.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact and liaise with government bodies, law enforcement agencies (Police, Prosecutor's Office), courts, and other relevant external parties.
Case Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain a comprehensive and organized case file for all litigation matters and provide regular, clear, and concise reports on the status of ongoing cases to the Legal Manager and senior leadership.
What We're Looking For (Kualifikasi)
Educational & Professional License:
A Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from a reputable university is required. A Master's degree (LL.M.) is a plus. Must possess a valid advocate license (PERADI).
Core Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a Litigation Assistant Manager role or a comparable position, either in-house or with a reputable law firm.
Litigation Expertise:
Demonstrable, hands‑on experience in handling a variety of litigation cases from inception to resolution. You must be well‑versed in the Indonesian Civil and Criminal Procedure Code.
Industry‑Specific Knowledge:
Significant experience in handling legal matters within the property, real estate, or hospitality industry is mandatory. This includes familiarity with land disputes, construction issues, and tenant/owner relations.
Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and legal drafting skills.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
