About the Role

Position title: Sourcing Manager (Packaging Material)

Job Description: Constantly finding alternative material/alternative vendors to fit the spend in the budgets.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading sourcing opportunities particularly for packaging materials to reduce materials costs and improve the company’s profitability. Manage the overall spending for the categories of Packaging Material allocated. Ideation and Execution of sourcing strategies for key categories for cost optimization while sourcing from reliable sources. Develop a strong supplier base locally as well as overseas for existing and forthcoming products. Work on developing new/alternative vendors who can supply as per global Godrej standards, manage end-to-end activities including new vendor identification, generating suppliers portfolio, price negotiations, and supplier induction. Managing contracts/agreements, rebates. Forecasting the prices of commodities, commodities tracking, benchmarking. Maintain and follow up vendor performance of packaging category to ensure the required service levels are met and quality supplied as standard specifications. Drive Packaging Sustainability initiatives & Sustainable Procurement projects across the GCPI portfolio. Work closely with vendors and must be able to establish a good rapport with them.

Qualifications

Has minimum 8 years of experience in packaging material purchase preferably from the FMCG Industry. Minimum Bachelor’s degree across all fields of study. Have experience in managing spending management. Good analytical skills, negotiation skill, business orientation, and ability to influence the business partners. Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal). Willing to be based in Halim, East Jakarta.
