We are looking for a principal engineer to own our authentication service. Authentication is at the root of our browser security product. Every user request flows through it, so the decisions you make here have real consequences for security, for performance, and for how the system evolves over time. You\'ll work with a small team that values autonomy and ships without a lot of process overhead. You\'ll bring technical leadership to an existing system and team, and you\'ll own what you build together.
Responsibilities
Own the authentication service and contribute to the evolution of the system with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Provide technical leadership to an existing team and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
Develop and ship features with autonomy in a lean process environment.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience
building and operating production systems
Experience in Rust or Go strongly preferred
Our Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$145,000 - $255,000 .
In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is Menlo Security\’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become Menlo Security shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
