Civil Design Engineer

Corporate Recruitment Business Partner at Asia Pulp & Paper Group | Talent Acquisition | Certified HCS - BNSP We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in structural modeling and well-versed in applying Indonesian design codes. You will be responsible for developing detailed design drawings from basic engineering concepts and simplifying civil scope challenges by implementing effective structural modeling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural modeling and ensure designs comply with Indonesian codes and standards.

Develop detailed design drawings based on initial engineering inputs.

Analyze and simplify civil engineering problems, apply structural modeling as needed, and propose practical solutions.

Prepare civil shop drawings to guide construction activities when necessary.

Review drawings from design consultants and provide technical feedback and comments.

Offer technical solutions for design-related challenges and issues.

Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimates for civil works.

Monitor contractor compliance with design requirements and specifications throughout the construction phase.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the design of civil works, including foundations, piling, roads, and drainage systems for buildings and civil projects.

Experience in industrial projects such as pulp & paper, power plants, chemical plants, or similar industries is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering specifications and proficiency in applying Indonesian design codes.

Familiarity with design criteria and regulatory requirements relevant to civil engineering projects.

Solid understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles.

Proficient in civil design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar tools.

Competent computer skills to support engineering design and documentation.
