Senior DevOps Engineer, Open Banking

Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer, Open Banking at OXZ Capital. You will work with one of our portfolio companies in the fintech sector as part of the Engineering department, in stealth mode building an open-banking project targeting the SEA Finance industry. Responsibilities

Work closely with the DevOps Lead and the Head of Engineering to design scalable, high-performance infrastructure that meets business needs and aligns with cloud architecture best practices. Design, implement, and maintain systems to ensure high reliability, availability, and performance at scale, supporting both current and future growth. Develop and optimize comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to enhance system visibility and maintain an actionable signal-to-noise ratio. Create and refine automation scripts and tools to eliminate repetitive operational tasks, increasing efficiency and reducing human error. Perform capacity planning and resource management to anticipate scaling needs and ensure systems can handle projected growth. Take ownership of production incidents, driving root cause analysis and implementing robust solutions to prevent recurrence. Participate in and improve the on-call rotation process, reducing noise and burnout while ensuring effective incident resolution. Maintain security best practices for the system, including vulnerability patching and compliance with relevant standards. Streamline and enhance deployment pipelines across multiple environments and regions to enable rapid, safe, and reliable delivery of services. Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to ensure consistent, scalable, and version-controlled infrastructure provisioning. Identify potential system vulnerabilities and capacity constraints before they become critical issues, employing data-driven approaches to implement proactive measures. Maintain clear, detailed documentation of systems, processes, and incident retrospectives to facilitate knowledge sharing and team learning. Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and practices in SRE to propose and implement improvements that elevate system reliability and operational excellence. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science) 5+ years of professional experience in related field of work; previous experience in Go is a plus Experience with software engineering, customer experience and digital financial services is a plus Knowledge of security best practices, TLS/SSL, and encryption for data in transit and at rest Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Scripting experience to automate tasks, manage configurations, streamline deployments, and support the software development lifecycle Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions) Experience with cloud deployments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) Experience with Monitoring, Logging, and Incident Management tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk) About Us
