The Appointment Setter plays a key role in the companyโs client acquisition process. This role involves conducting outbound B2B calls to business owners across the United States, identifying their eligibility for a Tier Optimization Audit, and scheduling on-site or virtual meetings for their field representatives. Appointment Setters represent the company in a consultative and professional manner, positioning the company as a trusted corporate partner rather than a sales organization.
Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound calls to U.S.-based business owners using Convoso dialer software.
Engage business owners professionally and present the Tier Optimization Audit opportunity with clarity and confidence.
Qualify prospects based on ownership status, credit/debit processing volume, and current processing structure.
Overcome objections using pre-approved rebuttals and maintain a consultative tone throughout the call.
Schedule qualified appointments with Field Directors, ensuring all required information is confirmed and accurate.
Log detailed notes, appointment outcomes, and next steps in the CRM (Notion-based).
Send confirmation SMS messages and follow-up calls 24 hours before scheduled appointments.
Maintain high conversion rates while adhering to the company's call cadence and QA standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:
Required:
Proven experience in outbound sales, cold calling, or appointment setting (minimum 1 year).
Exceptional spoken English and professional communication skills.
Confidence, persistence, and emotional intelligence under pressure.
Stable, direct-line internet connection (required for Convoso).
Professional headset and quiet working environment.
Consistent attendance and ability to follow structured workflows and call targets.
Nice to Have:
Experience in merchant services, payment processing, or fintech.
Familiarity with Clover, Toast, or other POS systems.
Previous work with dialers such as Convoso, CallTools, or Five9.
Understanding of Tier Optimization, interchange rates, or payment fee structures.
