Technical Sales Specialist (Power Generation – Wear Parts)

Technical Sales Specialist (Power Generation – Wear Parts) Kemindo, in partnership with the global leader Magotteaux, is looking for a high-caliber Sales & Technical Support professional to lead our expansion within the Indonesian Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU) sector. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of coal grinding processes and a robust network of decision-makers in PLN (Persero), IPP (Independent Power Producers), and O&M contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

Identify and secure new business opportunities for Magotteaux’s wear-resistant parts and grinding media within the Indonesian power sector.

Technical Consultation:

Conduct site audits and technical assessments of coal mills (Vertical Mills, Ball Mills) to provide tailored solutions that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Strategic Networking:

Leverage and expand an existing network of contacts (Plant Managers, Maintenance Heads, and Procurement Officers) across Indonesia.

Product Performance Monitoring:

Track the performance of installed parts on-site, provide technical reports, and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous support.

Market Intelligence:

Provide regular updates on Indonesian power industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming PLTU projects/tenders.

Collaboration:

Act as the primary technical bridge between Kemindo, the principal team, and the end-user.

Required Criteria (Candidate Profile)

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Professional Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Sales/Technical Support specifically within the

Power Generation

industry.

Proven track record of selling high-value technical components or "wear parts" (e.g., grinding balls, liners, rollers, or mill internals).

Industry Network (Crucial): Must have an extensive and active network within PLN (Indonesia Power, PJB/PLN Nusantara Power) and major IPPs (e.g., Adaro, Cirebon Power, Paiton Energy).

Familiarity with the Indonesian government’s procurement processes and tender systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Coal Grinding/Milling processes and the impact of wear on plant efficiency.

Ability to read technical drawings and perform on-site measurements.

Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues in a power plant environment.

Soft Skills & Language:

Strong "Hunter" mentality with excellent negotiation skills.

Fluent in English (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with the Magotteaux principal team.

Self-motivated and able to work independently while traveling to remote power plant locations.
