ESG Analyst – EU Policy & Implementation (m/f/x)
As an
ESG Analyst – EU Policy & Implementation (m/f/x) , you’ll support the development and execution of HiTHIUM’s ESG approach in Europe, with a strong focus on interpreting EU regulation, embedding requirements internally, and contributing to public affairs and policy engagement efforts.
You’ll work closely with ESG, legal, operations, and external stakeholders, helping ensure HiTHIUM’s sustainability strategy is both regulator-ready and future-facing.
Key responsibilities
Monitor, analyse, and interpret
EU ESG-related regulations and policy developments
relevant to the battery and energy storage sector (e.g. sustainability reporting, supply chains, product regulation).
Translate regulatory requirements into practical internal policies, processes, and implementation roadmaps.
Support the development and continuous improvement of ESG frameworks, policies, and internal guidelines.
Work closely with internal teams (legal, operations, supply chain, strategy) to ensure effective ESG implementation across the organisation.
Contribute to external engagement efforts, including industry consultations, working groups, and policy dialogue at EU level.
Support ESG reporting, disclosures, and responses to stakeholder or regulatory requests.
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, EU public policy, regulatory affairs, or related roles.
Strong understanding of the EU regulatory and policy landscape, with the ability to interpret complex texts and translate them into actionable guidance.
Interest in — or exposure to — policy advocacy, industry representation, or lobbying in a transparent and professional context.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional European languages are a plus).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Collaborative team player, comfortable working in a fast-evolving, technical environment.
Experience or demonstrated interest in energy storage, batteries, renewable energy, or industrial sectors is a strong asset.
