Development Officer

This role involves supporting food product development from a technical perspective, working closely with customers, and maintaining strong relationships while supporting business and market development activities. Responsibilities

Develop and organize structured business visit plans to collect data and conduct field trials related to products, applications, or principals in accordance with company regulations. Implement agreed business models and support product/application development through market surveys, data updates (DEFU), trial evaluation and feedback, progress reporting to customers and internal teams, and preparation of marketing tools to support sales activities. Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers to enhance company profitability by addressing customer needs, driving improvements, and providing input for product/application/principal development in line with company standards. Ensure development-related expenses are managed effectively and efficiently within the approved budget. Communicate and coordinate with principals/suppliers for new product development and application initiatives. Identify continuous improvement opportunities in workflow processes to enhance operational effectiveness and distribution channel efficiency in line with departmental targets. Implement, monitor, and report the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/SMK3L) programs, and carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support departmental and company performance objectives. Qualifications

Education: S1/Sederajat Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry (R&D, product development, or related roles) Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working with customers Able to maintain and develop good customer relationships Willing to travel for business, including overseas trips Work Experience: 2 - 3 years
