The role of an Electrical Project Engineer in a high voltage (HV) substation project is critical to the successful design, implementation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

u’ll Make an Impact
Develop and review detailed electrical designs for HV substations, covering switchgear, transformers, protection, and control systems.
Prepare precise technical specifications and documentation aligned with industry standards and project goals.
Define project scope and key deliverables while supporting effective planning and scheduling with project managers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration across electrical, civil, and mechanical works.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to drive smooth execution, timely procurement, and issue resolution.
Oversee on-site installation and testing to uphold safety, quality, and compliance throughout project delivery.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., PE or equivalent) is an advantage.
Hands-on experience in electrical engineering projects, ideally involving high-voltage systems or substations.
Strong grasp of electrical systems, equipment, and industry standards such as IEEE and IEC.
Skilled in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Detail-oriented problem solver focused on quality, safety, and project delivery excellence.
