About You

Project Accountant
who will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial excellence across our diverse portfolio of projects. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by supporting project leaders, strengthening governance, and driving financial performance that aligns with client expectations and organizational goals.
What will you do?
Champion best-practice project accounting, including governance, financial management plans, ERP systems, audits, controls, invoicing, and reporting.
Drive working capital management by identifying improvement opportunities, resolving issues proactively, and aligning processes with client invoicing cycles.
Provide financial insights throughout the project lifecycle, including reporting, work breakdown structures, and earned value/revenue assessments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
Collaborate with project leaders to prepare documentation that secures fair project variations.
Support contract mechanisms related to invoices, reporting, and budget adjustments.
Partner with corporate business units and advisors to deliver coordinated financial services.
Analyze project performance dashboards and reports, highlighting key insights to guide decision-making.
Maintain accurate forecasting to support project leaders in strategic planning.
Build strong, trusting relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance
Minimum experience 3-4 years in related field
Relevant tertiary qualification, with CPA or Chartered Accountant designation preferred.
Significant knowledge and experience in project and contract management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to Beca values and adherence to professional ethics, always maintaining professionalism.
Proven ability to align contributions with organizational objectives.
Compliance with company HSE systems and procedures, ensuring safe and sustainable outcomes.
Active participation in professional development, including CPD requirements.
Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share workload and support colleagues.
Flexibility to undertake other duties as directed.
