Job Requirements
Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Finance, Econometrics, Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred), or related field.
Minimum 12โ15 years of relevant experience in energy, chemical, oil & gas, or renewable energy sectors, with strong exposure to business development, investment, or project management roles.
Proven experience in financial modeling, feasibility studies, techno-commercial analysis, and corporate finance.
Experience in project development lifecycle, including FEED/EPC phases, tender processes, and stakeholder coordination.
Strong understanding of energy transition, sustainable investment, and carbon/green energy markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to interface with senior management and external partners.
Strategic thinker with high integrity, resilience under pressure, and ability to work across matrix organizations.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Desirable:
Exposure to renewable energy, transition energy, or sustainable investment projects.
Experience working with licensors, EPC contractors, consultants, and JV partners.
Background in M&A, asset management, partnerships, or capital raising activities.
Training or exposure in Project Management and participation in energy or chemical industry conferences.
Strong understanding of ESG principles and regulatory frameworks related to energy projects.
Job Responsibilities
Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities across renewable, transition, and conventional energy projects aligned with ESSAโs corporate strategy.
Conduct market research, financial modeling, feasibility studies, and investment evaluations to support informed decision-making.
Lead due diligence processes and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, finance, legal, commercial) during project evaluation and development stages.
Engage with licensors, EPC contractors, consultants, and partners during FEED/EPC phases and manage end-to-end tendering processes including RFP preparation, evaluation, and negotiation.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, regulators, financial institutions, and joint-venture partners, safeguarding company interests in negotiations and contract structuring.
Provide insights on corporate finance, M&A, partnerships, and asset management opportunities; regularly report project pipeline, risks, and returns to the Director and Group Investment Committee.
Ensure all project and investment activities align with quality, safety, ESG standards, and company governance requirements.
Implement and uphold Occupational Health & Safety (SMK3) and Environmental Management Systems (SML) within assigned responsibilities.
