Associate Manager, Development Engineering Packaging

Summary As the Associate Manager, Development Engineering Packaging, you are required to execute global commercialization projects for the Asia Region and assist in developing key special pack programs. You will be responsible for local and regional accordingly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with Global RD&E for primary pack development and qualification in accordance to Global/Asian needs

Compatibility testing, preparation and decision together with relevant engineer

Perform and decide on primary packaging/component test such as ECT test, torque test etc

Qualify developed methods/instructions in manufacturing by attending the execution of required trials and support manufacturing in Production Line Qualifications (PLQ)

Support remote/local SC Johnson (SCJ) manufacturing site and contractors

Issue/support packaging recipes when the changes are not affecting performance

Coordinate for production of required products and samples for Marketing/Trade and compatibility testing

Evaluation of new contractors' ability to produce SCJ products up to SCJ standards

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Design, Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering program

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in consumer product packaging development role

High proficiency in English

Experience and exposure working with the global and regional team is an added advantage

Project Management skills and experience is an added advantage
