Senior Data Scientist , you will collaborate with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to build AI-driven solutions that serve diverse stakeholders including students, alumni, faculty, researchers, staff, and community members. You will help guide and continuously improve how we engage, educate, and empower people by combining human-centered design with scalable technology.

You will experiment with the latest AI techniques, immersive and multi-modal learning environments, predictive modeling, and innovative research methodologies. This role translates complex stakeholder needs into production-grade machine learning platforms that drive personalization, expanded reach, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities Develop analytical models and production-ready algorithms that solve complex business problems Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders and technology teams Apply machine learning and AI techniques across diverse cloud-based data sets Build end-to-end data science pipelines from feature engineering through model deployment Translate complex analyses into strategic, operationally feasible insights Automate model deployment and monitoring workflows Identify trends and innovation opportunities in AI and emerging technologies Mentor data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers Contribute to external engagement through community participation, publications, or speaking engagements Support additional initiatives aligned with strategic goals

Required Qualifications Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, engineering, or related discipline 2–3 years of experience developing machine learning models with measurable business impact 3–5 years of professional experience with Python and SQL Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP Expertise in multivariate statistical modeling and machine learning techniques including clustering, regression, PCA, time-series forecasting, Bayesian methods, Random Forest, KNN, SVM, boosting, bagging, and regularization Experience building and operationalizing end-to-end machine learning systems Strong data visualization experience using tools such as D3.js, R Shiny, Looker, Streamlit, or similar Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications Experience with neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or similar Experience with NLP, large language models, and recommendation engines Experience working in immersive, blended, or innovative digital learning environments
