You will be responsible for the design, development, and support of cable assemblies and wire harness products. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure our products meet high standards of performance, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Design and develop cable assemblies and wire harnesses based on customer requirements and specifications.
Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
Select appropriate materials, connectors, and components for cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Lead and manage projects from concept through production, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cable assemblies and wire harnesses into products.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these metrics.
Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the production of cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to design, materials, or processes that arise during production.
Implement design changes and process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet required standards.
Conduct testing and validation of cable assemblies and wire harnesses to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Work with quality assurance teams to address non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and components for cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and address any issues that arise.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs, processes, and testing activities.
Ensure products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Required Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cable assembly and wire harness design and development.
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English; Mandarin is a plus
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for creating detailed drawings and schematics.
Strong knowledge of materials, connectors, and components used in cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
Experience with project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, UL, ISO).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience with simulation and analysis tools for validating cable and harness designs.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with SAP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Experience working with global suppliers and managing international supply chains.
