Sustainability Consultant

AZOROM wish to recruit a Lead Consultant for a 6 month study of Sustainability in an Electric Power Utility in South West Africa.

The utility is involved in Generation (mainly Hydro, with some Coal and Diesel), Transmission, rural distribution/electrification and Energy Trading, and the project involves the development of a Sustainability Strategy and Implementation plan: Baseline Assessment (review ‘As Is’) Develop Strategy (Workshops leading to ESG policy and associated KPIs) Implementation of Policy (Budgets, Timelines, Responsibilities, KPI reports Communications and Training) Associated Documentation of Strategy and Implementation.

Qualification Criteria

Evidence by completion of at least

five (5) projects

on the development and roll out of

Sustainability for large organizations

preferably in the utility or energy sector completed

in the last Five (5) years , with expertise in ESG reporting frameworks

Evidence of at least

5 years experience

in leading teams in the i mplementation

of sustainability strategies. Proven experience in leading projects and teams.

Strong analytical, research and communication skills.

Degree

in any of the following; Environment Science, Sustainability Management, Business Administration with focus on sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Climate change and any other relevant qualification.

Must have sustainability professional certification from accredited certification body valid for at least 5 years.
