Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary:
$1,200 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Litigation Paralegal
to support our
personal injury
litigation team from case filing through resolution. This role involves preparing and filing legal documents, managing court deadlines, coordinating depositions and mediations, and assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in personal injury law, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
Spanish fluency is strongly preferred , as a significant portion of our clients are Spanish-speaking.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file lawsuits, including Summons, Complaint, Civil Case Cover Sheet (CCC), and Addendums
Prepare Statements of Damages
E-file lawsuits with the court once approved and signed by the supervising attorney
Obtain conformed copies for service
Coordinate and send lawsuits for service
Calendar all court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, IMEs, and related events
Continuously monitor court dockets to ensure no hearings or deadlines are missed
Prepare complaints, mediation briefs, and related litigation documents
Propound and respond to discovery
Obtain and prepare discovery responses, including signed verifications from clients
Communicate with clients regarding discovery and case updates
Confirm depositions, IMEs, mediations, and related litigation events
Schedule court calls and ensure court reporters and translators are arranged when necessary
Scan and manage all incoming and outgoing mail
Prepare and file Minorโs Compromise petitions when applicable
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience (personal injury strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and court filing systems
Experience preparing complaints, discovery, mediation briefs, and litigation documents
Familiarity with calendaring court deadlines and monitoring dockets
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple active cases and strict deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Proficiency in legal case management systems and e-filing platforms
