Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Special Purpose Machines About the role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our talented team at Formulatrix Indonesia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting‑edge special purpose machines that are crucial to our client’s manufacturing operations. Based in Central Java, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative company.

What you’ll be doing

Design and develop custom special purpose machines, especially injection molding machines, from concept to commissioning.

Conduct feasibility studies, technical analysis, and cost estimation.

Prepare detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks or Onshape).

Collaborate closely with electrical, automation, and software teams to integrate mechanical systems with controls.

Supervise the assembly, installation, and testing of machines.

Provide technical support during and after machine deployment.

Manage project timelines and budgets, and coordinate with vendors or suppliers as needed.

What we are looking for

At least 5 years of industry experience in design engineering of mechanical/mechatronics (special purpose, design mechanism).

Experience in mechanism design (motion analysis, kinematic concepts, machine elements).

Experience in manufacturing mechanical instruments/robotic devices.

Skill in debugging issues in mechatronic systems.

Accurate, detail‑oriented, tactful, and a fast learner are a must.

Superb creativity, logic, vision, and problem‑solving skills.

Willingness to work in Salatiga.

Nice to have

Experience in injection plastic processes.

Good knowledge of plastic materials and sheet metal.

Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
