About the role
Reporting into the Japanese Director, this Operational Manager Japanese Speaker role at our client presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing restaurant industry in Jakarta. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to‑day operations of one of our key properties, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
What you'll be doing
Direct support for the President Director, hence in charge of overall management such as Accounting/Finance/Tax, Procurement/Purchase, HR/GA, Marketing.
Oversee daily back‑office operations including administration, finance coordination, purchasing, and inventory control.
Monitor and control food cost, operational expenses, and budget utilization to ensure profitability targets are met.
Prepare and analyze periodic reports (sales, cost, inventory, and operational performance) for management review.
Manage end‑to‑end procurement process for restaurant supplies, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Supervise inventory management, stock reconciliation, and variance investigation across outlets.
Coordinate with accounting team on accounts payable/receivable, invoice verification, and payment scheduling.
Maintain and improve SOPs related to administrative and operational workflows.
Oversee HR administrative functions including attendance, payroll input, staff documentation, and compliance.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant/F&B operations or back‑office management.
Business level communication in Japanese (MANDATORY).
Holds JLPT N1 certificate (MANDATORY).
Experience working in Japan, especially in hospitality/restaurant (Highly recommended).
Strong knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting (preferable).
Experience handling procurement and vendor management.
Good understanding of HR administration and compliance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS/back‑office systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail and strong integrity.
