Field Trainer Executive (6-months contract)
This role is responsible for enhancing the capabilities of our Medical Detailing Specialists and driving the successful implementation of our Doctor‑Centric Approach (DCA) through hands‑on shadow visits. The Field Trainer Executive will provide comprehensive product knowledge training for new hires, deliver ongoing re‑training, and continuously sharpen selling skills. The role requires extensive travel and a strong commitment to fostering excellence in our field force.
Key Job Accountabilities
Implement and Monitor Doctor‑Centric Approach: Conduct regular shadow visits with MDS to observe and evaluate the effective implementation of the DCA during healthcare professionals (HCP) interactions. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance effective engagement.
Product Knowledge Mastery and Dissemination: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on product knowledge for new MDS, ensuring a strong foundation in L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty’s portfolio. Collaborate with the Medical Communication and Training Manager to design and implement re‑training programs for existing MDS.
Enhance Selling Skills and Techniques: Actively monitor and assess the selling skills of MDS during shadow visits, identifying areas for improvement in communication, objection handling, presentation techniques, and overall persuasive capabilities. Provide targeted coaching and practical strategies to elevate sales effectiveness.
Reporting and Performance Analysis: Document detailed findings and observations from all shadow visits, compiling comprehensive reports that highlight strengths and areas for development. Work with the Medical Communication and Training Manager, Area Managers, and Head of Medical Visit to analyze performance trends and data to provide actionable insights for individual and team improvement.
Collaborate on Training Improvement Plans: Translate shadow visit findings and performance analyses into concrete training improvement plans. Contribute to the development and refinement of training modules, materials, and methodologies to address identified gaps and continuously elevate overall capabilities of the field team.
Requirement
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (e.g., Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences). Pharmacy is highly preferred.
Scientific Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and medical information clearly and accurately.
Training & Coaching Expertise: Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate engaging training programs, and provide effective one‑on‑one coaching and constructive feedback.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence, and motivate individuals at all levels.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in observing, documenting, analyzing performance data, and translating findings into actionable insights and training strategies.
Travel Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively (potentially up to 60% or more).
Initiative & Proactivity: Self‑motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to work independently and manage a dynamic schedule effectively.
Compliance: Upholds the highest ethical standards and demonstrates thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations and L’Oréal’s compliance policies.
Previous experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales training, or a similar field that involves coaching and developing field teams would be an advantage.
Open for fresh graduates with a Pharmacy background.
