About the Client Our client is a large enterprise managing complex, project-driven operations requiring structured cost control, revenue tracking, and cross-functional ERP integration. The organization is strengthening its SAP landscape (S/4HANA environment) to enhance project governance, budgeting accuracy, and financial transparency.

This role offers exposure to integrated SAP environments and enterprise-level transformation programs.

Role Overview The SAP PS Consultant will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and SAP technical teams. The role is responsible for designing and configuring SAP Project Systems (PS) solutions to streamline project management processes and ensure accurate financial control.

The consultant will work closely with FI, CO, MM, SD, and HR teams to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end project lifecycle management.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong project accounting knowledge and deep SAP PS configuration expertise.

Key Responsibilities Business Blueprinting

Conduct workshops to gather functional requirements.

Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.

System Configuration

Configure Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

Network activities

Milestones

Standard project structures

Customize project profiles and settlement parameters.

Project Planning & Execution

Implement Time scheduling tools

Resource planning frameworks

Material Requirement Planning (MRP) within projects

Support operational project execution processes.

Configure Hierarchical and detailed cost planning

Budgeting controls

Availability controls

Set up Results Analysis (RA) and settlement rules.

Manage CO versions and interest calculation processes.

Integration Management

Ensure seamless integration between PS and FI/CO (settlements & accounting)

SD (milestone/RRB billing)

HR / CATS (time tracking)

Reporting & Analytics

Develop and maintain reports using Project Information System (PIS)

Provide visibility on project cost, revenue, and progress analysis.

Testing & Post-Go-Live Support

Lead Unit Testing

System Integration Testing (SIT)

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Troubleshoot functional and integration issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline.

5+ years of SAP PS functional experience.

At least 1–2 full lifecycle SAP implementations preferred.

Experience in project-driven industries (Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas) is an advantage.
