Senior Account Sales Engineer(Japanese)

Working location: Jakarta

This position is for JAPANESE employee basing in Jakarta, responsible for the field sales of the entire portfolio of Cognex products. This is a sales role for Japanese customers in Indonesia including end users, partners, automation machine builders (OEM’s) and System Integrators (SI). The ASE will work closely with the District Sales Manager to develop account strategies and tactics. The ASE will be responsible for meeting or exceeding a defined quota at assigned or newly found accounts and expanding our base of business. The employee will embody the core values of Cognex including: Work Hard, Play Hard, and Move Fast. Additional tasks will be assigned as needed by the manager.

Essential Functions:

Properly forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with Japanese End Users, Partners, and OEMs to reach the quota goal

Utilize the Cognex sales process to effectively coordinate products/solution demo to Japanese customers and winning large strategic opportunities

Builds Japanese customer network and follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits, seeking out large opportunities

Effectively conducts customer visits in a solution sales environment

Collaborate with counterparts/sales colleagues on opportunities that are either integrated or installed in a different territory or where the Japanese decision makers locate.

Follow up on Japanese customer inquiries, understand application requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution.

Assists at trade shows and other marketing events for Japanese customers.

Coordinate technical evaluations/consultant utilizing the Applications Engineering team.

Maintain and continuously update project information in Sales Book.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven track record of sales performance in Indonesia manufacturing automation or similar industry.

Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis

PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications

Ability to travel 40% of the time is required

Ability to work independently is required

English communication capability – basic level

Minimum education and work experience required:

Technical/Business Degree or equivalent work experience

Proven sales experience and a good track record in Indonesia is required

Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization is required

Experience in selling vision related products is also preferred
