The

Jetty Superintendent

oversees all terminal and port operations to ensure the seamless execution of vessel berthing and loading activities. This individual is responsible for coordinating maritime movements, maintaining site safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. They will also manage planning, quality control, and maintenance schedules to ensure the facility operates at peak performance.

Responsibilities Manage daily vessel and barge schedules to maximize jetty occupancy while minimizing demurrage costs. Supervise liquid and dry cargo transfers through pipelines and conveyors to ensure zero contamination. Coordinate jetty activities with production and logistics teams to align with refinery output and storage capacity. Enforce strict adherence to ISPS Code and safety protocols to maintain a secure operational environment. Monitor weather and tidal movements constantly to ensure safe mooring and cargo operations. Oversee quality and quantity assurance by managing accurate sampling, gauging, and weight bridge measurements. Lead a multi-shift team and manage third-party contractors, including stevedores and tugboat services. Liaise with Port Authorities (KSOP), Customs, and Immigration to ensure seamless vessel clearance and compliance.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Port Management, or Marine Engineering. A Marine Officer certification (ANT II or III) is a strong plus. Experience:

Minimum 8-15 years in port/jetty operations, specifically handling

Liquid Bulk (Palm Oil/Chemicals)

and

Dry Bulk . Technical Skills:

Deep understanding of pump operations, pipeline manifolds, and bulk loading systems. Knowledge:

Familiarity with ISPS, MARPOL, and Indonesian maritime laws. Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, ability to work under pressure, and excellent problem-solving skills in a 24/7 operational environment. Willing to be based in

Dumai, Riau.
