As we expand our presence in Southeast Asia, we are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to strengthen our operations in Indonesia’s key industrial regions.
Position Summary
We are seeking a high-performing, digital-savvy Sales Manager to drive sales development in Jakarta/Karawang, focusing on the Smart Manufacturing sector, especially within the paper manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate is a strong
“hunter”
and “ deal maker ” with a proven track record in consultative B2B selling within industrial automation and digital transformation environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and expand strategic accounts
within the
Smart Manufacturing sector , with a strong focus on key accounts in the
paper manufacturing industry .
Skillfully
navigate complex client organizations , identify and influence key decision-makers and executive sponsors to drive deal progression and closure.
People
oriented, must be able to
build rapport then establish and maintain strong relationships
across all levels of client organizations, from operational staff to senior leadership, building long-term trust and collaboration.
Demonstrate
exceptional communication skills —able to distill complex challenges and solutions into concise, impactful messages. Confidently engage with C-suite executives, presenting with professionalism, clarity, and strategic justification.
Proactively
identify and develop high-value opportunities , managing multi-stakeholder engagements and closing large-scale deals in dynamic, matrixed environments.
Own the full sales cycle , from lead generation and consultative selling through to proposal development, contract negotiation, and successful deal closure.
Collaborate closely with pre-sales and delivery teams to create
tailored digital transformation proposals
that align with client needs and strategic objectives.
Independently draft and structure complex commercial agreements , demonstrating sound judgment and attention to risk, value, and business impact.
Develop
business cases and financial models , including CapEx/OpEx breakdowns, ROI analysis, and payback period assessments to support data-driven decision-making.
Deliver
clear, persuasive value propositions
to technical and executive audiences, adapting messaging to suit stakeholder interests and priorities.
Maintain a
healthy and visible sales pipeline , meeting or exceeding revenue, margin, and growth targets through disciplined pipeline management.
Willing to
travel across Indonesia
as needed for client meetings, site visits, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher
in Engineering, IT, Automation, Business Management, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
in B2B sales with a
strong hunter mentality , preferably in
smart manufacturing, IIoT, industrial automation ,
IT consultancy
or related sectors.
Proven experience in
key account management
with the ability to influence and close deals in complex matrix environments.
Strong
business development and negotiation skills , along with excellent
customer relationship management
capabilities.
High level of
commercial acumen , able to perform financial assessments and develop ROI-focused justifications.
Outstanding
communication and presentation skills —fluent in
Bahasa Indonesia and English ; Mandarin is a plus.
Independent, self-motivated, and resilient , with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Willing to
travel domestically
for client meetings, site visits, and project engagements.
