Senior Collibra Engineer – Data Intelligence & Governance
We’re searching for a seasoned
Collibra Engineer
to play a key role in shaping and advancing a highly customized Data Intelligence Cloud platform used by a global business. This is a hands‑on technical role that goes far beyond UI configuration—ideal for someone who thrives in the backend, enjoys solving data governance challenges, and wants to own a platform end‑to‑end.
What You’ll Do
Platform Ownership & Engineering
Lead the administration, enhancement, and day‑to‑day operation of our Collibra implementation within the Data Intelligence Cloud.
Automate data governance processes, streamline workflows, and implement data quality KPIs.
Build, refine, and maintain data model objects and metadata integrations across diverse source systems.
Tune platform performance, manage releases, and coordinate with vendor support when needed.
Contribute directly to the evolution of the enterprise data governance strategy, policies, and operating model.
Data Quality & Governance
Design and improve processes that increase reliability and usability of critical data assets.
Monitor, analyse, and remediate data quality issues aligned with agreed SLAs.
Support business teams in defining metrics, understanding lineage, and embedding governance best practices.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with a global, multicultural data governance team.
Communicate complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders in a clear, structured way.
Mentor a junior engineer and contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the team.
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
Strong hands‑on experience with
Collibra , ideally with backend configuration and workflow development.
Proficiency in
Python ,
Java , and
REST APIs , with clean coding practices and version control discipline.
Background in software engineering, including data modelling (UML), object‑oriented and functional programming concepts.
Familiarity with ETL pipelines, metadata extraction patterns, and enterprise reporting tools such as
Power BI
or
Tableau .
Ways of Working
Comfortable working in
Agile
environments (Scrum or similar frameworks).
Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical detail into practical guidance.
Fluent English; German is beneficial but not required.
