Job Description
Legal Counsel plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s operations, products, and strategic initiatives comply with all relevant laws and regulations. The role provides clear and practical legal advice to support decision‑making, while reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various agreements and documents to protect the company’s interests. It partners closely with cross‑functional teams to balance business needs with legal and regulatory requirements.
In addition, the Legal Counsel monitors regulatory updates and industry changes to proactively assess potential impacts on the business. The role contributes to risk assessments, dispute management, and governance activities, helping the organization maintain strong legal compliance and long‑term sustainability.
Position Responsibilities
Handles a wide variety of operational legal matters, including day‑to‑day legal inquiries from all levels of the BU organization
Provides legal opinions to senior counsel on a wide variety of matters
Executes legal research on behalf of counsel/senior counsel
Monitors legislative, regulatory and industry developments, and provides updates to Counsel
Participates in industry conferences and presentations
May be asked to revise, draft and (where applicable) participate in negotiation
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Understanding of financial principles and risk management is an advantage
Developing strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
Ability to identify and analyze legal issues effectively
Proficient in interpreting statutory provisions and case law
Capable of drafting clear and accurate legal documentation
Preferred Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills
