Key Responsibilities
Define and execute site or category‑specific procurement strategies aligned with the growth of the Batam operations (e.g., the expansion of backend manufacturing capacity) and global sourcing objectives
Lead negotiation and management of supplier contracts (goods and services) for manufacturing, assembly, capital equipment, spares, consumable maintenance, infrastructure, and indirect categories, ensuring favorable commercial terms, risk mitigation, and supply continuity
Develop supplier relationship management programs: selection, qualification, performance monitoring (KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, risk), improvement initiatives, and phase‑in/phase‑out strategies
Collate demand inputs from manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, and global procurement teams; ensure alignment of sourcing plans with production ramp‑up
Drive procurement supporting the site’s expansion and manage associated project sourcing risk
Monitor and report key procurement metrics such as savings achieved, lead times, supplier performance, compliance, and risk exposure; provide regular updates to senior leadership
Lead or contribute to procurement transformation initiatives (digital tools, systems, category management, global best practices) and ensure adherence to global procurement policies and local/regional regulatory requirements
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to procurement team members; ensure the team is equipped to handle increasing complexity as the Batam site scales
Identify supply‑chain risks (geographically, capacity, quality, logistics) and develop mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted operations in a global semiconductor manufacturing environment
Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders (site manufacturing, quality, engineering, R&D, global sourcing) and external suppliers, sustainability, and innovation support
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related disciplines; Master’s degree is advantageous
Extensive procurement/sourcing experience (typically 10+ years) in a manufacturing or high‑tech environment (semiconductor/electronics preferred), including global or regional sourcing and strategic categories
Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost modelling, and category management
Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities (market intelligence, cost modelling, data‑driven decision making), and the ability to drive results in complex manufacturing environments
Proven track record of cost savings, supplier optimization, risk mitigation, and managing cross‑functional stakeholder relationships
Experience with procurement systems/tools (SAP, ARIBA, or similar) and involvement in procurement transformation or process improvement is preferred
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia required; additional languages are a plus
Ability to operate in a dynamic, global, and cross‑cultural manufacturing environment; comfortable with change and ambiguity
Strong leadership, influencing, and team development skills; ability to lead the procurement function in a growing site
