Policy Associate

Liaise with key government institutions on AFTECH Policy Roadmap and working groups priority programs and/or projects, Manage AFTECH working groups and ensure achievement of their KPIs (including develop and/or update workplan, budget and activities), Develop policy and/or regulatory analysis on selected topics, Do research for the development of various publications, such as: policy briefs, policy reports, Annual Members Survey Report, Provide regular update to members on the advocacy activities as well as engagement with key government officials, Coordinate with various external stakeholders in delivering policy activities (including international organizations, academics, other associations, etc).

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy or other relevant field.

At least 4 years of relevant cumulative public policy experiences working within the financial industry, consultancy, technology industry, government and regulatory agencies, or think tanks.

Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing for proper Bahasa Indonesia, same goes to English and ability to speak in one of the local languages is a strong point.

Necessary skills to thrive in a tech start-up world, including the ability to work independently, lead without authority and work effectively within an ambiguous, rapidly changing landscape.

Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, research/academic institutions, community or industry influencers, and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.

Proven ability to conceive, analyze, develop and execute medium-to-long term strategies and campaigns to deal with complex issues of technology, policy and law, involving multiple issues and players.

Good network and relationship with key policy makers and regulatory stakeholders in Indonesia related to financial services, fiscal or economy is a big plus.

Background in consulting firm, financial institution, fintech, or heavily regulated industries is preferred.

Must be able to work independently, organized and result oriented.
