Job Description
Overview
To diagnose and repair a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery such as valves, motors and pumps, crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, screens and screen bearing.
Compliance Responsibilities
Comply with all pertaining environmental laws and regulations in Indonesia.
Comply with all laws and regulations applicable in Indonesia on Occupational Health, Safety and Mine as well as those required under the Regulation of the Ministry of Mines and Energy No. 26 of 2018 and Decree of Ministry of Mines and Energy No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018.
Comply with all SHLP, Environment and Social Responsibility requirements under PTAMNT Management System, PTAMNT vision, mission, and values.
Implement and comply with all company\'s environmental policies and procedures including but not limited to waste management, water management, energy conservation, biodiversity conservation, environmental incidents handling and reporting.
Implement and comply with all company\'s policies and procedures on mine\'s occupational health and safety.
Follow all quality procedures and promptly report any issues in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Main Responsibility
Perform routine preventative maintenance per established preventative maintenance program
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments
Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repair and maintenance to machinery, including, but not limited to, batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators and drives.
Inspects and reports the condition of machinery for items needing repair or service.
Fabricate and repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment.
Read and interpret technical manuals.
Operates fixed and mobile equipment, as necessary.
Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Provides direction to less senior mechanics.
Other duties as assigned.
Authorities
Authorize and perform routine preventative maintenance activities according to the established maintenance program.
Identify and locate sources of mechanical problems through observation and testing using precision instruments.
Decide on appropriate diagnostic methods and carry out repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment, including batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators, and drives.
Inspect machinery and report conditions that require repair or servicing to the Supervisor.
Make decisions on fabricating and repairing parts using machine shop equipment.
Rebuild or fabricate parts and conduct necessary repairs on electrical equipment.
Reference and interpret technical manuals to support repair and maintenance activities.
Operate fixed and mobile equipment as required to complete tasks.
Execute tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor.
Provide technical guidance and instructions to less senior mechanics.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Position Qualifications
Education
Senior High School equivalent or higher
Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience with maintenance or construction of large processing equipment.
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
Technical Competency
Be able to perform routine preventative maintenance following the established program.
Be able to locate sources of mechanical issues through observation, listening, and using precision measuring instruments.
Be able to diagnose mechanical problems and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment, including batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators, and drives.
Be able to inspect machinery and report its condition accurately for required repairs or service.
Be able to fabricate and repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Be able to rebuild or fabricate parts and repair electrical equipment.
Be able to read and interpret technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair work.
Be able to operate fixed and mobile equipment safely and effectively.
Be able to carry out additional duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Be able to provide direction and mentorship to less senior mechanics.
Be able to perform other assigned tasks while maintaining safety and operational standards.
