About Our Client Our client is a fast-growing retail/F&B company with an ambitious national expansion pipeline. The company is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience through innovative store concepts, high‑quality design execution, and operational excellence. They are currently looking for a Head of Store Design to lead the end-to‑end store design strategy and ensure consistency across all new and existing outlets.

Job Description As a Head of Store Design, your main responsibilities will include:

Develop overall store design strategy aligned with brand identity, customer journey, and expansion goals.

Set and maintain design standards for concept, layout, façade, interior, signage, and ambience.

Lead innovation and new concept development (flagship, standard, compact, drive‑thru).

Oversee end‑to‑end design process from ideation, 3D visualization, to final drawings.

Ensure designs support operational efficiency and comply with brand guidelines.

Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Construction teams on concept development.

Set MEP standards and ensure proper planning for utilities (electricity, water, gas, HVAC).

Monitor MEP implementation to meet technical and safety requirements.

Supervise architectural drawings, technical details, and tender documents.

Ensure compliance with building regulations and construction safety standards.

Review cost estimates, ensure cost efficiency, and control project budgets.

Monitor construction execution to match approved specifications and quality standards.

Identify design deviations, construction risks, and potential cost overruns early.

Implement cost‑optimization strategies and benchmark industry standards.

Lead and develop Store Design, MEP, and Architect/QS teams; set KPIs and build a collaborative culture.

Experience designing stand‑alone F&B stores/restaurants, covering exterior‑interior concepting, layout planning, and coordination with construction/MEP teams.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in store design, retail development, or F&B construction.

Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary design and technical teams.

Strong knowledge of MEP, architectural standards, and construction requirements.

Demonstrated ability to balance design quality, operational needs, and cost efficiency.

Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
