About the Team You’ll be part of Amartha’s dynamic QA Engineering team — a collaborative group of software quality and automation specialists committed to delivering reliable, compliant, and scalable financial solutions. We work closely with cross‑functional agile teams, including developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers, to embed a quality‑first mindset into every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Our QA culture values creativity, continuous feedback, rapid iteration, and solving problems through automation to ensure we build and ship high‑quality software at scale.

About the Role As a Senior QA Engineer at Amartha, you will play a key role in driving quality across the engineering lifecycle. You’ll not only ensure that our systems are robust, scalable and user‑friendly, but also help shape and scale our test automation strategy. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including Product, Engineering, and DevOps to deliver innovative and high‑quality user experiences. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in mentoring fellow QAs, setting up quality best practices, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end test strategies including functional, regression, performance, and resilience testing (chaos)

Develop and maintain robust automated test suites for APIs, UI (Mobile/Web), and load testing to support scalable and efficient releases

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines by integrating test automation at various stages

Design and execute load and stress tests to evaluate system performance under traffic

Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to define quality metrics, test plans, and acceptance criteria

Act as a quality champion—advocate best practices across teams and proactively identify gaps in processes or testing approaches

Conduct root cause analysis on bugs and production incidents, and implement preventive measures

Mentor and guide fellow QA engineers in developing skills around test automation and QA best practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Proven experience with test automation frameworks for UI (Mobile/Web) or API such as Robot automation, Selenium, Appium, Rest‑Assured or similar

Solid experience of load testing with Locust, K6 or similar

Strong knowledge of CI/CD systems and integrating automation into pipelines

Deep understanding of testing layers (unit, integration, E2E, acceptance) and their importance

Excellent problem‑solving skills, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and lead across teams

Demonstrated ability to mentor fellow team members and drive testing initiatives

Highly proactive, self‑driven, and passionate about continuous improvement and learning
