Job Description
Ferbos is an energy technology company focusing on digitalizing energy systems through IoT, automation, and ERP integration. Our solutions help buildings reduce electricity consumption, improve operational efficiency, and transition toward smarter and more sustainable energy systems.
We work on energy management systems, control automation (HVAC, lighting, equipment), renewable energy integration, and real-time energy analytics.
We are looking for a strong technical talent to become the engineering anchor behind our solution development.
Role Summary
The Energy Solutions Engineer acts as the technical architect who connects customer operational challenges with mathematical, engineering, and energy-saving logic. You will design, calculate, validate, and optimize energy solutions before handing them to implementation teams.
This role bridges between:
Project team (design & commissioning)
R&D team (solution requirements)
Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering
Analyze customer buildings, loads, operational schedules, and inefficiencies.
Determine sensor requirements, placement strategy, and control parameters.
Perform basic calculations of energy savings (kWh, cost, payback).
Validate or design control logic for HVAC, lighting, and equipment systems.
Convert engineering assumptions into clear system specifications.
Support the sales team in technical presentations and proposal writing.
Translate customer problems into structured solution scopes.
Provide technical justification for ROI, savings, and solution choices.
Review solution design before execution.
Validate commissioning tests, thresholds, and logic outcomes.
Train internal teams on solution fundamentals where needed.
Control System & Logic Development
Define sequence of operations (SoO) based on building logic.
Develop control strategies for:
HVAC systems (temperature reset, staging, timing, occupancy-based control)
Lighting automation (based on schedule, occupancy, daylight)
Load scheduling (peak shaving, prioritization)
Review PLC logic, relay wiring, controller mapping, and function testing.
Collaborate with R&D to translate logic into programmable modules.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Physics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
Background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or control systems is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of physical systems (temperature, heat, electrical loads, power).
Ability to perform energy analysis at basic-to-medium complexity.
Familiar with system modeling using programming code or basic simulation.
Comfortable reading datasheets, wiring diagrams, and product specifications.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, building systems, or industrial loads is preferred.
Software/Tools Knowledge (Preferred)
Basic PLC programming or industrial automation concepts.
Ability to analyze protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet IP.
Using programming code for baseline & saving projections.
Familiarity with dashboards or IoT software is a bonus.
Soft Skills
Critical thinker and problem solver.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Confident communicator, especially when presenting logical justification.
Curious and eager to learn new technologies.
What You Will Learn
You will be exposed to:
IoT platform and device architecture
Control logic implementation
Building electrification and energy transition
Industrial-level energy performance assessment
On-site commissioning and real client challenges
What We Offer
Long-term growth opportunity in a high-impact industry
Exposure to major clients in industrial and building sectors
Work closely with founders and industry experts
