Casual Store Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Casual Store Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of the store, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience. As a Casual Store Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks, including assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the store.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

Provide product information and answer customer inquiries.

Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.

Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Inventory Management

Receive, unpack, and label merchandise shipments.

Assist in monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels on the sales floor.

Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

Ensure all products are correctly priced and displayed.

Store Maintenance

Ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-maintained.

Arrange displays and promotional materials to enhance the shopping experience.

Restock shelves and arrange products in an orderly manner.

Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.

Operational Support

Assist with deliveries and stock processing.

Support stock counts and inventory accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Physical stamina for tasks such as lifting and restocking.
