We are currently seeking a talented, business‑savvy professional to join as a Cloud Engineer based in Jakarta.
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’
Support and operational activities
Level 2 & 3 escalation support
Handle complex incidents and requests that cannot be resolved by the CIT team.
Provide deep technical expertise across the DEEP infrastructure stack, including networking, compute, storage, and platform services.
Ticket and alert management
Monitor and manage tickets and alerts in the support group queue, ensuring compliance with defined SLAs.
Assign, update, and follow up on tickets to maintain visibility and accountability.
Respond to critical alerts triggered via OpsGenie or escalated by the CIT team during business hours.
Incident management
Lead the resolution of critical incidents, coordinating with stakeholders and following the defined Incident Management Process.
Produce detailed postmortem analysis reports for major incidents, identifying root causes and defining corrective/preventive actions.
On‑call rotation
Participate in the on‑call schedule to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
Handle incidents and operational tasks during off‑hours, maintaining SLA compliance and service continuity.
Engineering and continuous improvement
Identify repetitive, manual, or low‑value tasks and develop automation solutions to eliminate or reduce them.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of runbooks, scripts, and automated workflows.
Use observability tools to detect anomalies, optimize performance, and support capacity planning.
Practice Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) approaches.
Create and update alert runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation.
System design and architecture consulting
Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions, including scalability considerations.
Collaboration and enablement
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with CIT and other teams.
Lead mentoring sessions as part of BAU activities for CIT members.
Support awareness sessions, sanitization activities, and technical onboarding for new services or changes.
Hard Skills
Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure (AWS) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). Expertise in automating routine tasks and system deployments using tools and scripting languages like Python and Bash – at least 4 years of experience.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline development – ability to build and manage continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, connecting SRE teams with operational counterparts. 3–5 years of experience.
Incident management and troubleshooting – skills in incident management, effective problem‑solving techniques, and a methodical approach to diagnosing and rectifying system outages – 3–5 years of experience.
Windows and Linux systems administration – at least 2–4 years of experience.
Excellent knowledge of web‑based and service‑based architectures (REST, GraphQL) and micro‑services patterns.
Observability systems – experience setting up CloudWatch, Elastic Stack, Grafana, New Relic, etc. – 3–5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of cloud connectivity (VPC peering, VPNs, hybrid cloud setups). Experience setting up and managing secure and efficient connectivity between cloud environments and on‑premises infrastructure is a plus.
Continuous learning of security and technical trends, and evolving a platform based on them.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Experience leading a team (plus).
Experience working on a platform (plus).
AWS high‑level certifications – optional but a plus.
