Job description

Comply with and ensure compliance with the QHSE rules, instructions and procedures in force at SPIE Oil and Gas Services

Supervise the team he/she is in charge of

Analyze the balance sheet and income statement sections to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual closing files

Verify and justify the consistency of account balances at their level

Record transactions relating to equity accounts

Carry out consistency tests with the allowance, variation and reversal accounts

Identify potential accounting errors and implement corrective actions

Verify that the financial statements derived from the trial balance are consistent with the last cash position transmitted to SPIE Oil and Gas Services reporting department

Supervise the activities carried out by his Accounting team and participate in the improvement of the accounting process

Organize the service by defining the levels of responsibility of each person

Organize and plan tasks between team members

Control the correct execution of the work carried out

Prepare tax returns and manage relations with the administration and external auditors

Check tax files

Determine the tax result, draw up tax returns, prepare tax packages and send them to the head office

Participate in the response to requests for clarification from tax authorities

Ensure the processing of requests from statutory auditors

Apply and enforce accounting rules and standards

Respect and enforce accounting standards

Ensure that his/her team respects the legal deadlines

Ensure compliance with the monthly reporting schedule

Ensure the traceability of accounting documents relating to the service

Guarantee compliance with the ethical rules specific to the profession of Chief Accountant

On the basis of field feedback and his/her own analysis, suggest solutions to improve and adapt the process

Profile

Master's degree in accounting, control, auditing

Diploma in Accounting

University degree or business school diploma supplemented by accountancy finance training

Extensive technical knowledge in general accounting and bookkeeping

Accounting plan

Master an accounting software

Reporting

Good level of English
