Mid-Senior QA Engineer

About the role We are seeking an experienced Mid-Senior QA Engineer to join our innovative technology company, PT. Noovoleum Indonesia Investama, based in Cimahi, West Java. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end quality of our integrated software and hardware R&D projects. You will lead the design and execution of test strategies that bridge digital interfaces with physical mechatronic systems. Your work ensures that our software is not only bug-free but also operates reliably when interacting with real-world hardware sensors and actuators. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Automation:

Build and maintain automated test frameworks (Python/PyTest) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

Hardware Integration:

Validate software-to-hardware communication (IoT, sensors, and embedded systems).

Performance Testing:

Conduct stress and load testing to ensure system stability under industrial conditions.

Root Cause Analysis:

Identify and document complex defects, collaborating with developers to resolve system-level issues.

Process Leadership:

Drive the evolution of QA methodologies and mentor junior members of the R&D team.

What we're looking for

4+ years in SQA or SDET roles.

Strong proficiency in

Python .

Experience with Selenium, PyTest, or Playwright.

API testing (Postman) and SQL knowledge.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify and address quality issues.

Experience in the Information Technology & Communication industry, particularly in Testing & Quality Assurance, is highly desirable.

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing.

Knowledge of MQTT or ROS (Robot Operating System).

Familiarity with Edge Computing or Digital Twins.

Experience in mechatronics or R&D environments.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Interdisciplinary Problem-Solving:

Ability to deconstruct complex problems that span mechanical, electrical, and software domains and devise novel, integrated solutions.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

Capable of defining a technical vision, guiding and mentoring junior engineers, and taking full ownership of project outcomes.

Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset:

A strong foundation in empirical, data-driven decision-making; defaults to "let's test it" or "what does the data show?".

Innovation & Creativity:

Proactively identifies and experiments with new technologies (new materials, ML algorithms, sensors) to drive product innovation.

Cross-Functional Communication:

Can clearly articulate complex mechanical concepts to data scientists and complex ML concepts to mechanical engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
