We are looking for a

Senior Software Engineer

to work on a project in the Fashion industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems. Our client is a leading premium fashion and lifestyle omnichannel retailer, with a strong digital commerce presence alongside its physical stores. The organisation is accelerating its digital capabilities to enhance customer experience and retail operations at scale.

You will work in an XP / Agile environment (pairing, continuous refactoring, frequent releases) with full lifecycle ownership — from design to production and incident handling. Teams operate with a “you build it, you run it” mindset and actively avoid knowledge silos through collaboration, mobbing, rotation, and documentation.

We are looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally across design, backend, and product.

What you will do:

Design, build, and evolve high-quality frontend applications using Vue (CSR) and contribute to SSR / MVC template environments where needed. Build and extend Web Components and shared design system components, ensuring consistency and reusability across the platform. Deliver accessible, responsive, and performance-focused UI experiences, following WCAG principles and semantic HTML best practices. Implement and maintain UI testing strategies (unit and end-to-end testing). Collaborate with backend engineers to consume and contribute to RESTful APIs, ensuring clean integration between UI and domain logic. Contribute to architectural discussions, aligning UI implementation with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and domain boundaries. Support observability and performance monitoring, ensuring frontend assets are built, deployed, and served effectively. Work in close collaboration with design and product teams, clearly explaining UX/UI trade-offs to non-frontend stakeholders.

What you will bring:

8+ years of professional experience or equivalent senior-level expertise in frontend or full-stack development. Deep experience building and evolving design systems and Web Components in production environments. Strong expertise in TypeScript and Vue (or similar SPA architectures), including complex UI state management, forms, and error handling. Advanced CSS skills (layout, architecture, responsive design). Experience implementing accessibility-first development (semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, screen reader support). Experience with Client-Side Rendering (CSR) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) / MVC templates. Solid backend awareness: Java, Spring Boot, SQL (Postgres), REST APIs (consuming & contributing endpoints). Understanding of how frontend applications are built, deployed, and monitored in cloud/containerized environments. Experience working in Agile / XP environments with pair or mob programming practices. Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and explaining technical decisions clearly. Interest in the e-commerce domain and comfort using AI tools to enhance frontend workflows (e.g., prototyping, accessibility checks, generating UI variants).

Nice to have:

UX design background or strong UX intuition. Flutter application development experience. Frontend performance optimization expertise (bundle size, Core Web Vitals, perceived speed).
