Junior Procurement Officer (Civil)

Have a Bachelor's degree from reputable university, preferably Civil Engineering.

0–2 years of experience in Civil procurement / purchasing (fresh graduates are welcome).

Basic understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.

Good negotiation skills, Good Communication and presentation skills in Bahasa and English.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Honest, responsible, have initiative, want to learn and develop.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Descriptions

Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers and subcontractors

Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure proper documentation

Coordinate with other user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned including monitoring and coordinating deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time

Handling and monitoring of claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts

Maintain relationships with existing and prospective vendors, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and external parties as required in the business planning and purchasing process.

Develops negotiating strategies and positions to acquire goods in the best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with vendors, suppliers, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors assigned.

Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.

Assist in cost control and budget monitoring

Protects organization's value and keeping relevant information confidential.
