Job Description
Company Overview
We are an Indonesian group holding company that builds and scales new businesses with a long-term vision. Backed by strong fundamentals and deep local market understanding, we are now launching a new venture in the pharmacy and healthcare retail space.
This is a new business built from the ground up. Our ambition is to open access to quality healthcare for everyone, from anywhere, while operating with uncompromising standards of regulatory compliance, patient safety, and ethical practice.
Role Overview
We are seeking a
Pharmacy Store Operations & Governance Specialist
to design and establish the operational backbone of our pharmacy retail stores from zero to launch. This role is responsible for building the end-to-end store operating model, service flow, and operational controls for our first pharmacy outlets, ensuring disciplined execution and regulatory-aligned practices from Day 1.
You will translate early-stage ambiguity into practical, repeatable store systems — covering SOPs, daily operations flow, shopper experience standards, and basic governance controls. The role works closely with expansion, pharmacy, and project teams to ensure each store operates consistently, safely, and efficiently.
This position is well-suited for individuals with strong retail or healthcare operations backgrounds who are structured, execution-focused, and experienced in building operational processes from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operating Model & SOP Design:
Develop practical and easy-to-follow SOPs for pharmacy store operations, including opening and closing procedures, daily operational routines, stock receiving and handling, cashier processes, and basic service standards. Define baseline operating discipline and what “good pharmacy store operations” looks like across outlets.
Pharmacy Shopper Experience & Service Flow:
Design the end-to-end customer journey inside the pharmacy store — from entry, browsing, staff assistance, checkout, and after-sales handling. Establish simple and consistent service standards covering greeting, assistance, queue handling, and complaint response. Continuously refine service flow based on early store feedback and field observations.
Store Team Readiness & Operational Setup:
Partner with project and pharmacy leaders to define basic pharmacy store organization structure and role clarity (pharmacist, technician, cashier, store crew). Prepare simple onboarding guides and operational training materials for store teams. Support early store openings on-site to ensure operational flow and SOP adoption.
Operational Governance & Control:
Establish basic operational governance covering cash handling controls, stock discipline, daily sales and inventory reporting, and issue logging. Ensure operational practices align with pharmacy retail discipline, SOP hygiene, documentation standards, and regulatory-sensitive requirements.
Pilot Learning to Playbook Development:
Capture lessons learned from the first pharmacy store openings and convert them into a practical Pharmacy Store Operations Playbook for scaling. Document best practices, recurring issues, and control checkpoints. Provide feedback to expansion and design teams to improve store layout and operational flow.
Requirements
Experience & Background:
Minimum 3–6 years experience in retail operations, store operations, F&B operations, clinic operations, or other structured outlet operations environments.
Proven experience building or improving store operational processes and SOPs.
Experience supporting new store or outlet launches is strongly preferred.
Background in pharmacy, healthcare retail, or regulated retail environments is a strong advantage.
Technical & Functional Skills:
Strong operations and process design mindset.
Experience creating SOPs and operational checklists from scratch.
Working knowledge of basic inventory control and cash handling controls.
Ability to balance operational discipline with execution speed.
Comfortable translating field realities into practical procedures.
Behavioral Attributes:
Structured but pragmatic in approach.
High ownership mindset and accountability.
Continuous improvement orientation.
Strong problem-solving and process simplification capability.
Able to operate effectively in early-stage, fast-scaling environments.
Additional Advantages:
Experience with pharmacy or healthcare operational standards.
Exposure to operational audit or compliance processes.
Experience developing training or onboarding materials for store teams.
