Mining Purchasing Manager

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management and expediting.

Develop and implement best-in-class inventory management systems to optimise stock levels and minimise operational disruptions.

Analyse purchasing data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favourable terms and ensure reliable delivery.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operational teams to align purchasing activities with business needs.

Lead and develop a team of procurement specialists, providing mentorship and driving continuous professional development.

Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to the company's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the mining or manufacturing industries.

Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, supply chain optimisation and contract negotiation.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.

Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field.
